SHARONVILLE, Ohio —
A major milestone has been reached in the Sharon Lake improvement process on Friday, with the lake once again starting to refill with water.
Sharon Lake was first drained back in the spring of 2024, and this week, officials have closed the valve of the bypass system that allows the water to pass through the lake. Advertisement
The staple of Hamilton County was initially emptied to begin a series of major improvements in and around the lake, including amenities, parking, paddling access and trails.
Now, officials will be able to install more of the floating amenities, such as fishing docks and an accessible kayak launch.
