Dec. 4-7 and 11-14 Christkindlmarket Des Moines

Christkindlmarkts are German-inspired holiday markets held in cities around the world. The Des Moines market (with the added e in its name) is a free event and features merchants in decorated wooden huts. Musical performers and food vendors add to the festive atmosphere. Also, don't forget the glühwein. Regional vendors will sell hand-crafted products. Along with the German flavors, there will be Iowa craft beer.
