OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Saturday is now a First Alert 6 Weather Day for the potential of rain and accumulating snow mix.
A quick-moving system will sweep into the area bringing a chance for wet snow and wintry mix. The potential looks to be as early as 11 AM. The bulk of the snow falls in the afternoon and evening.
Current trends show the tracking of the system will bring some warmer air which could convert the wet snow to a wintry mix over the metro.
The highest chance of picking up more than an inch of snow will be north and northeast of the metro. Patchy ice may form from the rain/snow mix in the metro.
Slick travel is possible in the afternoon and evening. Travel impacts will be higher near and north of I-80.
