BRYAN, Texas — After a season full of soaring wins and painful losses, high school football has hit critical mass in Southeast Texas with the Regional Finals gearing up. Four teams from around the area prepare for battle, as they take their communities hopes and dreams on the road in one more step towards that ever coveted Texas State Football Championship
To begin, we have a grudge match between the number 3 ranked Port Neches-Groves Indians facing off against the number 1 ranked South Oak Cliff Golden Bears.
It is almost destiny that these two bitter rivals would find a way to collide once more in the playoffs after three previous post season meetings.
For now, South Oak Cliff holds the edge in the head-to-head matchup, with a record of 2-1 vs. PNG. This Includes last years 56-14 drum
