On a day Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the India arm of state-funded Russia Today (RT) network, New Delhi and Moscow signed five media collaboration agreements between public broadcaster Prasar Bharati and various Russian media companies.These include Joint Stock Company Gazprom-media Holding, National Media Group, BIG ASIA Media Group, ANO TV-Novosti and TV BRICS.
These MoUs are between Prasar Bharati and Russian media organisations and entail broadening cooperation in the field of broadcasting, content sharing and information exchange, said the Ministry of External Affairs.
Prasar Bharati already had a pact with TV-Novosti, which owns RT India, but an addendum to the same was signed on Friday in the presence of the two heads of state.
