GRAND FORKS — A Drayton, North Dakota, woman is in Grand Forks County custody after allegedly selling a half pound of methamphetamine to an informant.
Crystal Gayle Marie Mapel, 46, is charged with Class A felony delivery of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine, Class B felonies conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine and methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver and Class C felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Class A felony has a maximum 20-year sentence.
On Sept. 23, a confidential informant arranged to buy drugs from Mapel through an accomplice, according to a declaration of probable cause summary filed in the case. The informant allegedly purchased four grams of methamphetamine for $160.
On Oct. 9, the informant met with Mapel and purchased approximately 229
