New Delhi: IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers on Friday acknowledged the scale of the ongoing flight disruptions and said the airline is working on a structured recovery plan, cautioning that it will take several more days before operations fully stabilise.
Speaking on the days-long cancellation crisis, Elbers said 5 December was the “most severely impacted day”, with well over 1,000 flights cancelled, and apologised to passengers for the widespread inconvenience.
“It will take some time to return to a full normal situation, which we do anticipate between 10–15 December,” he said, adding that recent relief granted in the implementation of the revised Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) rules “is a great help”.
