The Salisbury poisoning victim who unknowingly gave his girlfriend Dawn Sturgess the deadly nerve agent that killed her has called for Vladimir Putin to be put on trial.

Charlie Rowley, 52 – who is still suffering from effects of the poison more than seven years later – spoke out after an inquiry ruled the Russian president was “morally responsible” for the mum of three’s death. Dawn, 44, was killed by novichok in a perfume bottle that had been dumped by assassins who attacked former double agent Sergei Skripal.
