MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa —

After more than a foot of snow blanketed the Marshalltown area last weekend, some residents say they’ve had enough winter already.

“I’m done. I’m good. It’s only December, and I’m good for the season,” said resident Marielys Pavon, who lives just outside of town.

She described the steady snowfall as something that just kept falling.

Pavon said she’s not looking forward to another round of snow this weekend, but she’s grateful she hasn’t had to dig out alone.

“I had like three neighbors that actually volunteered to plow out my driveway for me,” Pavon said. “It’s great to have that community in my neighborhood.”

She said that kind of support has made a tough stretch of winter weather a little easier to handle.
