GREENVILLE, S.C. —
An annual resource fair in Greenville offers rare opportunities and guidance for formerly incarcerated people to help them turn their lives around.
Hundreds gathered on Friday for the 11th annual A Second Chance Forum, which offers employment, rehabilitative services and educational opportunities from more than 30 agencies and organizations. The goal of the event is to provide guidance for anyone with a prior criminal record in one spot.
"The idea here was to bring it all under one roof. So that they could come what to do it to help an in many cases, jobs. All of these individuals here are showing that there's a need, for help. And so we want to let them know that help is on the way," Sen. Karl Allen said.
