Netflix has agreed a £54 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery in one of the biggest deals in Hollywood history. The streaming giant says the deal will deliver up to £2 billion in savings.

The US firm won a drawn-out bidding battle to acquire the studio group’s film and television operations.
