Christmas is just around the corner and while most of us will be putting up a tree and some tinsel over the next week or so, others have gone a few steps further.

Incredible photos show some of the most festive houses in the UK, with some dedicated Christmas fans decking out their homes with thousands of twinkling lights and decorations.

Daniel Goodyear has spent thousands of pounds on decorations for his home in recent years. He has spent the last few weeks transforming his house in St Piran Close in Bodmin, Cornwall, into a sparkling spectacle.

For the ninth year in a row, he has set up a 'Santa's Grotto' - where he will dress as Santa and dish out presents for free to neighborhood children, who queue down the street to see his home. View 9 Images
