The Moreno Valley Wind Symphony will present “Winter Tales,” its annual free holiday concert, 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Moreno Valley Conference Center Grand Ballroom, 14075 Frederick St.
The first half of the program features soundtrack highlights from “Game of Thrones,” arranged by Jerry Bocook, and music from “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” by Patrick Doyle, according to a news release form the Moreno Valley Wind Symphony.
Also on the first half is Kelijah Dunton’s “Stillwater,” inspired by the town of Stillwater, Minn., which has a lake in its center. In winter, the top of the lake freezes, but people in town can still hear the water underneath if they listen closely.
The first half concludes with Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with music by Danny Elfman.
