Porterville Mayor Greg Meister delivered an optimistic and sweeping 2025 State of the City address Friday morning at the Galaxy Theatres, highlighting public safety, major capital projects, economic development, and the city’s long-term vision as it prepares for its 100-year anniversary as a charter city.

The event, hosted by the Porterville Chamber of Commerce during its monthly First Friday Coffee, opened with an invocation from Vice Mayor Ed McKervey, who prayed for community unity, humility during the holiday season, and continued service to the city.

Meister thanked business owners, nonprofit leaders, educators, civic partners,, and city staff for their ongoing contributions.
