WILLIAMS, AZ (AZFamily) — You don’t have to go all the way to the North Pole to find reindeer; just take a quick drive up to the High Country.

The Grand Canyon Deer Farm, located outside of Williams, has been around since 1969 and have had reindeer for over 30 years.

Owner Amy Kravitz has worked at the farm for 20 years.

“So one of the important things to remember about reindeer is that they are domesticated,” Kravitz said. They’re not wild. They are very special animals.” She bonds with all of their animals, but the reindeer are special.

“It’s the most wonderful thing in the world,” Kravitz said. “When they have their calves they let me milk them. They let me help them with their babies.” Plus, she said, girl power pulls Santa’s sleigh.
