Jesse Lingard, the former Manchester United and England midfielder, is departing from South Korean club FC Seoul following their upcoming Asian Champions League Elite match against Melbourne City, as announced on Friday.
After joining FC Seoul at the beginning of 2024, Lingard signed a two-year contract, with the possibility of a third year. Despite attempts from the club to extend his stay, Lingard, aged 32, has opted to seek new challenges elsewhere.
During his tenure, Lingard played 66 matches and scored 18 goals, helping the team secure a fourth-place finish in his first season. This position earned them a spot in the prestigious Asian Champions League Elite.
