GARRISON, Texas (KTRE) - Renovations to the second floor of the historic Wiley Hotel in Garrison have been completed. The Garrison Heritage Society president, Beren Cranford said former rooms are now dedicated to families with Garrison roots.
The Wiley Hotel was built in 1888 and originally hosted railroad workers and traveling salesmen.
“Here recently, they have refurbished it and made it more like a museum, and they’ve been able to find more things from the past to put in the rooms,” said the society’s president, Beren Cranford.
Families like Nancy Windham’s, have decorated the rooms with letters, school memorabilia, photographs, clothes, and dozens of more items.
