University of Arkansas men's basketball Coach John Calipari acknowledged a 6:15 p.m. tipoff Wednesday against No. 6 Louisville put fans getting off work in a bind.
Still, Arkansas students showed in full force and the work force caught up to generate the loudest environment at Walton Arena this season. The No. 25 Razorbacks (6-2) downed the Cardinals 89-80 and next visit Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock to play Fresno State at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Calipari's sales pitch is identical.
"They came today and I begged them to come, 'Please be here early.' " Calipari said Wednesday. "They were here early. By the time that game started, it was 70% full. I looked at the student section. Thank you students. ... Now I'm saying to North Little Rock: come on now, come out. Support the Razorbacks
