Doda, dec 05: Police have registered an FIR against a serving police officer for alleged assault and unlawful restraint, asserting that no individual within the force is above the law.

Previously, a written complaint was filed on December 3, 2025 at Police Post DH Doda by Anzar Majid Malik, alleging that Ghulam Ali had wrongfully restrained and assaulted him.

Acting on the complaint, Police Station Doda registered FIR under relevant sections of law and initiated an investigation.

During the probe, the accused was identified as an Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Police Department. Doda Police said the case is being pursued in line with the department’s zero-tolerance approach to misconduct, and further investigation is underway.
