WINONA, Minn. — Destinee Hoffmann buried the eventual game-winning goal for St. Mary's in a 4-3 win over the Concordia Cobbers in MIAC women's hockey on Friday night.
Hoffman's goal at 12:52 in the third period broke a 3-3 tie. Concordia's Taylyn Cope scored back-to-back goals to close out the second period and Addie Moos scored for the Cobbers at 4:25 in the first period.
Sophia Paduano, Keeley Callander and Reese Heitzman also scored for St. Mary's. Concordia goaltender Abby Huselid made 21 saves on 25 shots while St. Mary's goalie Magali Fillion stopped 22 of 25 shots.
The Cobbers (1-6, 1-4 MIAC) close out the two-game series against St. Mary's at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
