CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Downtown Cape Girardeau was officially in the Christmas spirit on Friday.

Dozens of businesses along Main and Broadway stayed open late for the annual Holiday Open House.

The event gives businesses a chance to welcome large crowds and offer shoppers Christmas savings.

Emilie Buelow, the owner of Auntie Ems home boutique says this is one of her favorite nights of the entire year, “It kind of kicks off everything. It’s always the first Friday of December . We have people that come in that only come downtown during this night, which is kind of fun because you see some of the same faces every year at this time.”
