Singapore: Meta has delayed the release of its upcoming mixed reality glasses, code named Phoenix, pushing the expected launch from the second half of 2026 to the first half of 2027. The decision was reported after internal discussions and a Business Insider report based on employee communication.

According to the report, Meta executives said the extra time would help the company finalize the product and improve key features before it is made available to the public. The Phoenix glasses are said to be lightweight and designed to include mixed reality functions, but reports suggest they may not match the advanced display quality of premium competitors such as Apple Vision Pro.
