NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Christmas Village, a walk-through fundraising event at Heights Park, is open nightly from 8 to 10 p.m. for its second year.
Businesses and organizations have decorated 12 10 foot by 10 foot sites. The public can walk past and a vote for the one they like the best.
The decorating contest is a fundraiser of the Niagara Area Emergency Unit and other local charities. Those who decorate sites pay a fee, which goes to the NAEU. Those who purchase sites must designate a local charity. People can vote for their favorite sites, at $1 per vote, and raise money for those local charities. The site that receives the most votes will be deemed the winner.
There will be locked boxes for voting at City Hall and several businesses throughout the city. Votes may also be mailed
