Madabushi Chari We are saddened by the demise of our dear uncle, Madabushi Venkata Krishnama Chari (MVK Chari), who died early morning on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

He was 97 years old, born November 14, 1928, in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, India and was the son of M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar and Choodammal Ayyangar. Chari accelerated his illustrious career after earning his doctorate in Electrical Engineering at McGill University in 1970. He was one of the pioneers in introducing Finite Element analysis into electromagnetic computations, and he was prolific in contributing to the scientific community with almost a hundred technical papers, initiated with his seminal work from 1971 titled "Finite Element Analysis of Magnetically Saturated D.C. Machines
