There are many things that make Christmas . From mulled wine and and gingerbread men to candy canes and listening to Mariah Carey on repeat, there's so many little things that truly make the festive season what it is. ‌

However, for myself, and probably many others, nothing spells the beginning of the festivities quite like a mince pies. Those humble little treats of flaky, buttery pastry that are filled with warming mincemeat are, quite frankly, a favourite of mine. ‌

Considering I am something of a foodie , I love the fact that they are fairly versatile and can be enjoyed many ways. Whether you like them warm or cold, or with a dollop of brandy butter on the top, you just can't go wrong with one, or two, as a little sweet treat. ‌
