In a statement issued on December 5, According to Indigo Airline’s CEO, Pieter Elbers, IndiGo is focused on normalising its flight operations by December 10–15. Elbers acknowledged the widespread flight cancellations and delays that have impacted and caused inconvenience to thousands of passengers across the country. He said December 5 was the most impacted day, with a peak in cancellations.

Elbers highlighted that IndiGo expects the number of cancellations to fall below 1,000 on December 6 and is working towards a gradual return to normalcy over the next few days. He emphasised that stabilising operations will still take some time due
