India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill suffered a neck injury in the Test series against South Africa but now he has successfully recovered and completed his rehabilitation at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) and he has been cleared to play in all the format as per a report by SportsTak.
This means that he is all set to return for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa. According to sources of SportsTak, the BCCI’s CoE has now issued a fitness certificate for Shubman Gill and it has also been forwarded to the BCCI. The 24-year old batter has been named as vice-captain in India’s T20I squad for five-match series against South Africa and he will serve as a deputy to Shubman Gill. He is expected to return to action in the first T20I which will be held on December 9 at Barabati
