It's definitely looking like there's more success coming in 2025-26 for Watertown and Aberdeen Central's boys and girls along with other northeastern South Dakota wrestlers.

The season kicked off on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2025, and continues through to the combined State Individual Wrestling Championships Feb. 26-28 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.

Area Class A boys' squads include Watertown and Milbank in Region 1 and Aberdeen Central in Region 3. Area Class B teams in Region 1B include Britton-Hecla, Clark-Willow Lake, Deuel-Deubrook Area, Faulkton Area, Gettysburg, Groton Area, Hamlin-Castlewood, Hoven, Ipswich-Leola, Kingsbury County, Redfield, Sioux Valley, Sisseton, Tiospa Zina, Warner-Northwestern and Webster Area. Mobridge-Pollock competes in Region 4B.
