An important piece of artwork has returned home to Le Roy after having been missing for more than 100 years.

“The Vale of Elms,” a painting by renowned artist Lemuel Maynard Wiles from Perry, was recently tracked down and restored in an effort led by the Le Roy Historical Society, with contributions from Perry Public Library and the West Lake Art Conservation Center in Owasco, Cayuga County.
