Bhubaneswar : A college student from Sundargarh district’s Rajgangpur area allegedly attempted to end her life by setting herself on fire in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to reports, the incident occurred early this morning when the third-year Arts student of Rajgangpur Women’s College, poured petrol on herself and lit a matchstick. She was immediately taken to the Rourkela-based IGH hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

Upon being informed, police have reached the scene and recorded the girl’s statement. However, the exact reason behind her drastic action is yet to be ascertained. Tags: Odisha Suicide Attempt Sundargarh
