Traffic snarls are likely on Thane’s Ghodbunder Road, which links the Eastern Express Highway to the Western Express Highway in Mumbai, on Sunday, as the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation has announced road repair work between Fountain Hotel and Kajupada.

The Thane Traffic Police have announced that the work will last 24 hours, and heavy vehicles will not be allowed on this stretch. Light vehicles will be permitted to pass, but will have to use the opposite lane to bypass the repair site safely.

To avoid the likely heavy traffic issues, authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys, allow extra travel time, and, if possible, avoid peak hours. Local residents and daily commuters have also been advised to use alternate routes wherever possible.
