Indiana vs. Ohio State prediction, pick:

This is what the Big Ten Championship was destined to be all along. Indiana and Ohio State have made their way to Indianapolis unscathed and have set up a monster conference title matchup.

This game comes down to one question. Can Indiana score enough on Ohio State's defense? The Buckeyes allow 81.7 rushing yards, 2.8 yards per carry, and 121 passing yards per game. They meet Indiana, the No. 2 scoring offense in the nation, albeit bolstered by questionably running up the score at times.

Julian Sayin has been great for Ohio State and should have a healthy duo of Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate to work with. Toss in a revitalized run game that is seeing Bo Jackson come alive, and the Buckeyes' offense is awakening.

Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza has the stats. But let's dig deeper. Against Iowa, he went 12-23 for 233 and threw a pick that was almost back-breaking. Against Oregon, he was 20-31 with a pick-six. Against Penn State, he was 19-30 for just 218 and had an interception. The blueprint has been laid out against Mendoza.

Ohio State knows this and has a better defense than all three of those teams mentioned. They will take away the RPO game, which is where a chunk of Mendoza's production comes from, and dare him to beat them downfield, which is a strategy that tilts in favor of the Buckeyes.

Prediction: Ohio State 31, Indiana 20
