PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced upcoming construction and maintenance activities in District 1 for the week of December 7-13.

Drivers should expect work zone impacts and potential delays. The Cabinet advises planning for extra travel time and remaining alert in these areas.

Ballard County

Reduced speed limit on U.S. 60 in Ballard and McCracken counties; 35 and 45 mph in work zones. A temporary diversion is in place near MP 1 on U.S. 60 in McCracken County. Part of the U.S. 60 realignment project near Kevil. The overall estimated completion date is November 7, 2026.

Carlisle County

A lane restriction is in effect along U.S. 51 near MP 1.7 just north of Arlington, for the construction of a new bridge. O
