BELOIT, Wis. (WKOW) – The City of Beloit has declared a winter weather emergency from 9 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday.
During this period, vehicles are prohibited from parking or standing on city streets. Residents need to move their vehicles to a driveway or approved off-site parking lot, as outlined by the city ordinance.
The Beloit Police Department and Code Enforcement will ticket or tow away any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer found in violation of this winter weather emergency declaration at the owner’s expense.
Residents are also reminded to remove trash and recycling carts from the street.
Designated emergency parking areas include Krueger Park Upper, Krueger Golf Course, Wootton Park, and several other locations listed on the city’s website .
