LANSING — Call it one last test of patience for this year's leg of the U.S. 127 rebuilding project.
Another round of lane and ramp closures is planned beginning Friday, Dec. 5, as crews prepare to open the way for northbound traffic to get to westbound Interstate 496, state highway officials said.
At least three ramps will be closed on Dec. 5 or Dec. 6, including northbound U.S. 127 to Kalamazoo Street, Trowbridge Road to northbound U.S. 127 and eastbound I-496 to northbound U.S. 127.
The state Department of Transportation suggested that all special event traffic at Michigan State University use these ramps to get to campus: Northbound U.S. 127 to M-43, northbound U.S. 127 to Trowbridge Road and westbound Interstate 96 to Okemos Road.
