WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita police arrested an 18-year-old man early Saturday morning after allegedly striking his relative, a 42-year-old woman, with a rifle, as well as threatening to shoot multiple people.

The Wichita Police Department says that officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday in the 2000 block of South Mosley Street. The caller reported that her brother had assaulted their stepmother with a rifle and was threatening to shoot multiple people in the house.

When officers arrived, they found the caller and the 42-year-old victim at different locations. The victim had injuries on the back of her head. Officers also learned from witnesses that the suspect was threatening to “shoot it out” with police if they responded.
