DALLAS — A woman was found dead in a home after a fire in Dallas Saturday afternoon, officials say.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the fire shortly after 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the home in the 3000 block of Sundial Drive and reported heavy fire coming from the front of the home, according to a press release.
Firefighters brought the fire under control and found the body of an unresponsive woman lying on the floor in one of the rooms, where she was pronounced dead, officials say.
An "out taps" was declared on the fire at 2:51 p.m., but first responders remained on scene until the Medical Examiner arrived, a press release states. The Medical Examiners Office will determine the cause of death. The woman was not identified.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined and under investigation.
