The opening of the Finch West LRT on Sunday will mark the first new transit line in Toronto in more than a decade, and will introduce commuters to a kind of light-rail line the city has never seen before.

The LRT, which has been under construction since 2019, is intended to provide speedier connections for travellers along the congested Finch Avenue corridor, connecting Humber Polytechnic to Finch West station on Line 1.

But there will be some growing pains as riders get used to the brand new LRT system, with new cars, new payment methods and a brand new schedule.
