2Miami, FL – A mother is facing charges after allegedly choking her teenage daughter during an argument over cleaning. Jamika Jackson, 36, was involved in a physical confrontation with her 16-year-old daughter the day before Thanksgiving.

The dispute escalated after the daughter expressed frustration about housework. According to the criminal complaint, the incident began with Jackson slapping her daughter on the mouth, followed by throwing her to the floor.

The daughter reported that Jackson then placed her in a choke hold from behind, making it difficult for her to breathe. A witness to the altercation stated that the girl pleaded for her mother to stop.
