The New York Mets are seemingly bound for a very eventful offseason this winter. After missing the postseason, they've lost Ryan Helsley to the Baltimore Orioles, but they've replaced him with New York Yankees pitcher Devin Williams.
While these moves are important for New York, the free agency sweepstakes of Pete Alonso will likely be the storyline of the offseason. Alonso is expected to sign a massive deal in free agency, but there are a few suitors besides the Mets, too.
Jim Bowden of The Athletic recently predicted Alonso would leave the Mets and sign a monster deal with the Boston Red Sox this offseason.
