The New York Yankees have publicly stated that Anthony Volpe will be their shortstop next season, but upgrading from him would certainly help their chances of getting back to the World Series.
Volpe has not produced offensively in any season of his career, but his defense had kept him inthe lineup. Last season he led the league in errors, albiet playing through a shoulder injury. The Arzona Diamondbacks are reportedly listening to offers on Ketel Marte and The Athletic's Jim Bowden proposed this blockbuster trade to get him to the Bronx:
