Snowflakes are falling across Iowa as another winter storm pushes across the state on Saturday, Dec. 6. While the winter storm is expected to produce less snow than the Thanksgiving weekend storm , there will still be significant snowfall and travel headaches in Iowa.

How much snow will we get?
Much of Iowa will see around 2-5 inches of snow by the time the winter storm exits the state on Sunday, Dec. 7.
Here are the snowfall forecasts:
Des Moines area: 2-3 inches
Ames: 4-6 inches
Northwest Iowa (Sheldon, Storm Lake, Fort Dodge): 6-8 inches
Southwest Iowa (Council Bluffs, Creston, Atlantic): Less than 1 inch
Northeast Iowa (Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque): 4-6 inches with higher totals possible in Clinton and Jackson counties
