CANTON — In a school with a legacy of state championships and tremendous players, Kirtland running back John Silvestro showed why he was one of a kind in a 41-6 win over Hopewell-Loudon in the OHSAA Division VI state championship game .
Silvestro is the first 2,000-yard rusher in school history and decided to add more to his legacy on Saturday, Dec. 6 . He tied the OHSAA Division VI championship game record for touchdown runs in a game with four and ran for 255 yards in the victory.
