The Wolverines hadn’t played since Nov. 26 but showed no signs of a Las Vegas hangover. After winning three games last week by a combined 110 points to claim the Players Era Championship crown, No. 3 Michigan (8-0) picked it up where it left off in its Big Ten opener.
Morez Johnson Jr. scored 22 points while missing just two shots. The sophomore forward had never made a 3 in college; he made two Saturday.
Michigan had 26 assists on 39 made field goals, shot 60% and held Rutgers to just under 36%.
Per Big Ten Network, it was the first time Michigan has scored at least 100 in three straight games since its 1988-89 natio
