GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) - Thousands of people were on hand in Gatlinburg Friday night for the 50th annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade.

Among those in downtown Gatlinburg was a curious black bear, who was caught on camera rummaging through a trash can after the parade wrapped up.

It’s not the only time in recent weeks that a bear has gone viral in Gatlinburg.

Last month, a bear had to be rescued from the roof of Ripley’s Motion Blaster.

That bear was released back into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park following its release.
