MILLINOCKET, Maine (WABI) - A newly renovated commercial space in downtown Millinocket is getting attention for its big antlers.
Located along Penobscot Avenue, the property was purchased by business owner Chris Pepin and began remodeling a few months ago.
The newly finished mural outside the property consists entirely of naturally shed moose antlers from each of Maine’s 16 counties, collected by entrepreneur Drew Maciel and oriented by local artist Ella Ruiz.
They said the recent attention on both the building renovations and the mural have been nothing but positive.
“This is a really old building, hasn’t been touched for a lot of years, so seeing it go from that into its present state was amazing, and excitement has been the moose wings we did,” said Pepin.
