MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in an officer-involved shooting shortly after midnight on Saturday, December 6, according to a press release from Sheriff Todd H. Forbes.

Deputies were called to a domestic disturbance on Ed Dunn Road in Morgantown, where a firearm and shots fired had reportedly been involved.

When deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect allegedly opened fire on them.

The sheriff’s office reported that the suspect and another person identified as a victim were both taken to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

The conditions of those individuals have not been released. No deputies or additional bystanders were injured.
