BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence went 0-5 during boys high school wrestling action in the Bloomington South Invitational on Saturday.
The Stars dropped decisions to Pike (74-6), Martinsville (54-12), Bloomington South (76-0), Southridge (66-3) and Center Grove (82-0).
BNL recorded two wins on the mat. Wyatt Philpott pinned Pike’s Mawugnon Guedezounme in 3:41 at 138 pounds, and Philpott defeated Southridge’s Roger Grayson by a 10-5 decision.
“Today was a very tough invitational,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “Everyone wrestled better than the scores show. We continue to show improvement from one match to the next. Everyone wrestled with a lot of grit and determination, and our conditioning looked good, but we are still making some simple mistakes that cost us points and ultimately mat
