Heralded quarterback prospect Bo Polston announced Saturday he has decommitted from Toledo in the wake of Jason Candle’s departure for the University of Connecticut.

Polston, a 6-foot-3, three-star prospect from Indianapolis, was the headliner of the Rockets’ just-signed 2026 recruiting class. The senior is a two-time state champion with more than 5,500 career passing yards and previously held offers from Georgia, Michigan, and Washington.

“Due to the coaching change that happened this morning,” Polston wrote on X, “me and my family have decided that opting out of my National letter of intent and decommitting from the University of Toledo is the best for me at this time.Thank you. Gods Plan.”
