For Khushi Shah, creative director at Shanti, design is more than an artistic language — it is a living archive of memory, heritage and the timeless craft of Banarasi textiles. Her journey into the world of handloom began long before she formally stepped into the role. It was shaped in the quiet corners of her family’s textile store, in the elegance of her grandmother’s sarees and in the generational legacy that defined her childhood.
Rooted in legacy & reinvention
Khushi’s academic and professional path took her far from home to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, where she was exposed to global perspectives and worked with internationally renowned design houses. Yet, even amidst this world of high-fashion innovation, she felt an unmistakable pull toward her roots. R
